While Dr Jacob was thorough in the treatment he provided, the bedside manner was severely lacking. It was clear from the start that my needs were not the priority, but instead what the Dr preferred. I was initially told that nitrous wasn’t to be provided because it would “get in the way” of the procedure. I’ve had this procedure before elsewhere with nitrous on the same tooth. I also was told by the hygienist at the appointment that “the Dr doesn’t normally like to do numbing gel, but we CAN do it, if you want.” I’m sorry, but when is it about what the doctor prefers, and not what the patient prefers or needs? I also told the hygienist that it takes longer for me to get numb, and while she acknowledged that statement, it either wasn’t passed along to the dr or again the Dr didn’t care. I was given one shot where the outer side of my gums, then told “you’ll feel this one” right before another shot was delivered to the roof of my mouth. Work then began instantly without waiting to make sure I was numb. Over the course of the 2 hour procedure, maybe 5 words were said to me to ask how I was doing. In December 2025 I had my first appointment at Willamette dental in Spokane Valley after waiting several weeks for my appointment. I have had my dentures for many years and have a partial plate on the bottom that was held in by 3 teeth that have needed to come out for some time and currently had a terrible tooth ache. I discussed this with the dentist on my first appointment and the next appointment was scheduled for Jan 27th 2026. They did impressions and sent them off to get the new dentures. On feb 27th I had another appointment for more impressions. another appointment on April 10th then on May 26th they pulled the 3 teeth and put new dentures that did not fit, they did not line up and the teeth in the bottom plate are actually under my tongue. so they said well you can keep these denture and we will order new ones. This will take another 3 weeks. OK what choice do I have. 5 weeks later(the end of June) I get a call stating the dentures are in and they can get me an appointment the end of August. So by now I am not happy, I demanded an appointment sooner and they called with an appointment for today July 14th. I showed up to dentures that will not even fit in my mouth. Now we h

Went in feeling embarrassed and ashamed of my teeth, walked out confident with a set plan for fixing them! Everyone was so incredibly kind, from check-in to check-out. The dental hygienist (I think her name was Kathy but I can't remember, I'm so sorry) was so sweet and patient. I highly recommend Willamette!

This group is amazing! I see Dr. Doma and his team. They always get me in right away for any urgent issues. They are thorough, and kind I know they address any current and possible future concerns. They really do take away the anxiety oout of going to the dentist and I leave with a clear care plan moving forward. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We recently switched our insurance and chose Willamette. I was nervous as we have been with our other provider for awhile & dentists are like car mechanics- important to trust them to avoid unnecessary things ($$$$). I was impressed by the admin staff, the process and the care received. MJ went above and beyond as the hygienist, ensuring that my cleaning was pain free. The doctor was great as well. May have less aesthetic “frills” than other private practice dental offices, but the actual care was superb and the staff was authentically nice. Hard to find….
